The PR48 is a single-use 1.4 V zinc-air button cell. The codes below are the same physical cell sold under different manufacturer names, and any of them will fit.

| LR754 / SR754 | Identical 7.9 × 5.4 mm can, but sealed alkaline and silver oxide cells at 1.5 and 1.55 V. Fitting one in a hearing aid gives the wrong voltage; fitting a PR48 in a watch gives a cell that dies as soon as air reaches it. |

> The PR48 is a primary cell and must never be put in a charger. Charging a sealed primary battery builds gas pressure inside a can with no vent designed for it, which is how they rupture or catch fire. Rechargeable look-alikes exist for several sizes and carry different codes — check the code, not the shape.
