What actually sends dogs to the vet after avocado is the stone, which is exactly the size and shape to lodge in an intestine, and the fat content, which can set off pancreatitis in a susceptible dog. Guacamole is a separate problem entirely, because it contains onion and garlic.

No reliable dose threshold has been published for this. Anything presenting a specific safe amount is extrapolating.
