## What it actually does

For a rabbit the type matters and the difference is real: romaine, cos and other dark leaves are nutritious, while iceberg is mostly water, offers almost nothing, and contains lactucarium, which in quantity is sedative and can cause diarrhoea. Spinach and kale are fine in rotation but high in oxalates and calcium respectively, which matters for rabbits prone to bladder sludge.

No reliable dose threshold has been published for this. Anything presenting a specific safe amount is extrapolating.
