## What it means

This is the wool and delicates instruction. It means a low water level relative to the drum size — the garment should be moving in water, not rubbing against other clothes — minimal agitation and a short, slow spin. Wool felts through the combination of heat, moisture and friction, so it is the agitation the two bars remove that matters more than the temperature. A machine without a dedicated wool programme is generally a machine that should not be washing wool.
