69 questions, each labelled by how confident the answer actually is — 23 established, 37 extrapolated, 9 speculative. That label is the point: these questions mix computable physics with genuine guesswork, and treating them alike would be dishonest.

## Things widely believed that are wrong

- Everyone jumping at once does essentially nothing. Humanity is roughly one part in ten trillion of Earth’s mass.
- Swallowed gum passes through in a day or two. It does not stay in you for seven years.
- Cracking your knuckles does not cause arthritis. One doctor cracked only his left hand for sixty years and found no difference.
- Losing all bees would be serious but not civilisation-ending — most staple calories come from wind-pollinated grasses.
