Calibri
Calibri
Lucas de Groot, 2004
Sans-serif · A Word document from between 2007 and 2023.
Its rounded stem ends were drawn for ClearType subpixel rendering, which was new and which made soft edges look better than sharp ones on an LCD. Becoming the Office default in 2007 made it one of the most-set typefaces in history within a year. It featured in a Pakistani political scandal in 2017 when documents dated 2006 were found to be set in a typeface not commercially released until 2007.
