Bleach ran 366 episodes to 2012, stopped mid-story for eleven years, and returned in 2022 as Thousand-Year Blood War to adapt the final arc. The original run is heavily padded — the Bount and Zanpakutō filler arcs alone account for over 60 episodes. Thousand-Year Blood War is the opposite: densely adapted with almost no filler, which is why 50 episodes cover as much manga as 150 of the original did.
