Blender is the open-source 3D creation suite. Its keymap is aggressively context-sensitive: the same key does different things depending on which editor the mouse is hovering over and which mode you are in, so I inserts a keyframe in the Timeline and insets a face in Edit Mode. These are the 4.x defaults with left-click select; the 2.7x keymap and the Industry Compatible keymap are both different.

Common questions
- How many keyboard shortcuts does Blender have?
- This page lists 80 shortcuts across 8 groups, covering the ones people actually use day to day rather than every binding the application defines.
- Are Blender shortcuts the same on Mac and Windows?
- Mostly. The usual difference is that Ctrl on Windows becomes ⌘ on macOS, which is why the shortcuts here are written as "Ctrl/⌘". Where a binding genuinely differs beyond that swap, it is spelled out separately.
