14500 The same size in lithium-ion at 3.7 V. Chargers are not interchangeable and neither are the cells; a NiMH charger applied to a lithium-ion cell is a fire risk and the reverse can overcharge the NiMH.
Alkaline AA A NiMH runs at 1.2 V rather than 1.5 and holds it flat until it stops. Most devices do not care. Devices that infer charge from voltage — some smoke alarms, glucose meters and older cameras — will report low battery immediately or refuse to run.

Standard cells are 1900–2100 mAh, high-capacity ones up to 2500. Low-self-discharge types (Eneloop and equivalents) keep most of their charge for a year in the drawer, which ordinary NiMH does not.
