LIR2032 Rechargeable lithium-ion at 3.6 V nominal and 4.2 V charged, in the same 20 × 3.2 mm can. It holds about a tenth of the charge and its higher voltage can damage the device. Critically, the reverse swap is the dangerous one: a CR2032 dropped into a charging cradle can vent, rupture or catch fire.
CR2025 Same 20 mm diameter but 2.5 mm thick instead of 3.2. It sits loose in a CR2032 holder and carries about a quarter less charge. It often works; it also often loses contact when the device is knocked.
BR2032 Same size and 3 V, but lithium/carbon monofluoride rather than lithium/manganese dioxide: roughly 190 mAh and a much lower peak current. Excellent for memory backup and for −30 to +80 °C service, weak in anything that pulses hard like a key fob.

The CR2032 is a primary cell and must never be put in a charger. Charging a sealed primary battery builds gas pressure inside a can with no vent designed for it, which is how they rupture or catch fire. Rechargeable look-alikes exist for several sizes and carry different codes — check the code, not the shape.
