Saturn's largest moon is the one place in the solar system besides Earth with a thick nitrogen atmosphere and stable liquid on its surface, though the liquid is methane and ethane rather than water. Surface pressure is about 1.5 times Earth's at sea level, which means no pressure suit and no ebullism risk — a rare and genuinely odd feature. What it lacks is oxygen, and what it has in abundance is cold: -179 °C, cold enough that ordinary materials become brittle and unprotected exposure produces rapid, severe freezing injury. Gravity is only about a seventh of Earth's and the air is dense, so the often-repeated observation that a person with strapped-on wings could fly there is broadly correct. The Huygens probe landed in 2005 and returned data for about 90 minutes on the surface.
