SR44 / 357 The silver oxide cell in the same can. It holds 1.55 V nearly flat where this one starts at 1.5 V and falls away, and it carries more usable charge. Where the device measures something — calipers, meters, balances, camera exposure — fit the SR44 and accept the price. Where it just needs power, the LR44 is fine.
LR1130 / 189 Same 11.6 mm diameter, only 3.0 mm tall. Devices that take two or three stacked cells are often fitted with the wrong one; count the height, not the diameter.

The LR44 is a primary cell and must never be put in a charger. Charging a sealed primary battery builds gas pressure inside a can with no vent designed for it, which is how they rupture or catch fire. Rechargeable look-alikes exist for several sizes and carry different codes — check the code, not the shape.
