| SR736 | Yes — same cell |
| SR41W | Yes — same cell |
| SR41SW | Yes — same cell |

| SB-B1 | Yes — same cell |
Codes that look close but are not
| Code | Why it is not a substitute |
|---|---|
| LR41 / 192 / AG3 | Alkaline in the same 7.9 × 3.6 mm can, 1.5 V and 45 mAh with a sloping curve. It works in a toy or a penlight; it does not hold a stable voltage for a meter. |
| SR754 / 393 | Same diameter, 5.4 mm tall. Nearly twice the height. |
The SR41 is a primary cell and must never be put in a charger. Charging a sealed primary battery builds gas pressure inside a can with no vent designed for it, which is how they rupture or catch fire. Rechargeable look-alikes exist for several sizes and carry different codes — check the code, not the shape.
Where it turns up
- Digital thermometers
- Small quartz watch movements
- Otoscopes and penlights
- Electronic pill timers
Common questions
- What is equivalent to a SR41?
- 392, 384, SR736, SR41W, SR41SW, D392, V392, 1135SO, SB-B1 — all the same 1.55 V cell under different manufacturer codes.
- Can I use a LR41 / 192 / AG3 instead of a SR41?
- Alkaline in the same 7.9 × 3.6 mm can, 1.5 V and 45 mAh with a sloping curve. It works in a toy or a penlight; it does not hold a stable voltage for a meter.
- Is the SR41 rechargeable?
- No. It is a primary cell — charging one risks rupture or fire. Rechargeable look-alikes exist in the same size under different codes.
