How long can you survive in extreme heat?
It depends on humidity more than temperature — once the wet-bulb temperature reaches about 35 °C, sweating cannot cool you at all.

A body sheds heat mainly by evaporating sweat, and evaporation depends on how much water the surrounding air can still absorb. The wet-bulb temperature captures both heat and humidity in one number, and at a wet-bulb of 35 °C — skin temperature — evaporation stops working entirely, so a healthy person at rest in shade with unlimited water still overheats within hours. Recent laboratory work suggests the practical limit for young healthy adults is lower still, closer to 30-31 °C wet-bulb. Dry heat is far more survivable because sweat evaporates freely, which is why 45 °C in the desert is workable with water while 35 °C at high humidity is not. Core temperature above 40 °C is heat stroke: confusion, collapse, organ injury, and a mortality that climbs steeply with every additional degree and minute.
