Do you have to wait 30 minutes after eating before swimming?
No. There is no evidence behind the waiting rule — digestion does not divert enough blood to cause drowning.
Established science

The rule rests on the idea that digestion pulls so much blood to the gut that the muscles cramp and the swimmer sinks. Blood flow to the digestive system does increase after a meal, but not by enough to compromise limb muscles in a healthy person, and cramp while swimming is common regardless of when anyone last ate. Reviews of drowning statistics have not found meals to be a contributing factor in any meaningful number of cases; alcohol, by contrast, shows up repeatedly. A very large meal may make vigorous exercise uncomfortable, which is a good reason to take it easy and a poor reason to sit on a towel with a stopwatch. The advice appears to have entered popular guidance in the mid-twentieth century without an evidence base and simply stayed there.
